Crews will be working on paving the road on 44 Avenue between St. Andrews Drive and St.
Alberta Transportation has informed the Town work is wrapping up on the Highway 779 Construction Project for the year. The permanent line markings and crosswalk markings at Westerra Drive, Willow Heights Road and between 79 Avenue and Willow Park Road North were placed on October 30.

Downtown Redevelopment construction is wrapping up for the winter season.
Face Mask Bylaw Now in Effect as Town Placed on ‘Watch’ by Alberta Health Services. Stony Plain has officially been placed on a ‘Watch’ by Alberta Health Services (AHS) with 11 active cases (as of October 26) reported in the community.
With construction season nearing its end, Downtown Redevelopment continues with Phase IV of the project. While significant work has been completed in the downtown area, the final phase of construction for the project will carry-over to 2021.
The demolition of the Sommerville Springs site is now complete. Demolition of the site included the tear down and clean up of 40 structures in the development as well as grading on site.
